An Update on Cross-Union Collaboration Regarding AA Management

The CWA/IBT has joined other American Airlines unions in joint meetings regarding American Airlines CEO Robert Isom and upper Management’s performance. Kim Barbaro of the IBT and I have participated in these meetings with concerns of the direction American Airlines is headed. The airline’s poor financial performance and their continued commitment to failed policies is of great concern. Their implementation of bad technology, poor staffing practices, and harsh employee discipline, has left a demoralized workforce at American Airlines. Where once a proud workforce looked forward to performing their jobs, now stands an overworked, stressed out, and disheartened employee group.

There is an obvious need for change, and we will continue to work with the other unions at American as well as give feedback to company leadership to influence positive changes for our members.
