Tell Robert Isom: Protect Agents Now!

Recently, American Airlines management decided to require passenger service agents to close aircraft doors without help from cabin crew. As I'm sure you know, it's a process that requires significant upper body strength and agility.

In making this unilateral decision, the company did not take agents' concerns into consideration. We believe the policy puts agents at significant risk for on-the-job injuries. In fact, several agents have already been injured during training.

We are writing today to ask that you join your co-workers in calling on Robert Isom, CEO of American, to reverse this misguided and dangerous policy and to negotiate any future policy changes that impact agent safety with our union representatives. It's about protecting and respecting agents, now and in the future.
