Contract Implementation Update

All articles of the collective bargaining agreement have been implemented except Article 4, the curbside work, and Articles 6 & 7, the mandatory overtime assignment and pay.

The mandatory overtime language will be no later than July 8, 2024. We continue to get updates on the status of the mandatory overtime assignment and pay. The CWA-IBT Association and the bargaining committee have done all they could to have an earlier implementation, however the programming that is necessary to implement the language will not be completed until July 8th.

There is a dispute of the tentative agreement regarding curbside work. The Company is contesting the agreement, contending work was never intended to be added to the tentative agreement. The Association has filed a staff grievance to challenge the Company’s position. The case will proceed to a mediation/arbitration process.
