Bargaining Update #4

Our CWA-IBT Association Bargaining Committee met with American Airlines management on January 17-19 in our third round of bargaining for a new contract. The two sides exchanged proposals on the following articles:

Article 6, Overtime Customer Service 
Article 7, Overtime Reservations
Article 9, Filling of Vacancies 
Article 23, Uniforms
Article 25, Grievance Procedure 
Article 26, System Board of Adjustment

We reached a tentative agreement on Article 23, Uniforms. The new language provides an increase in the allowance for uniforms and staggers the mandatory purchase of uniforms for new hires.
 

Our Bargaining Committees are working hard to address the overtime issues in an effort to improve the work-life balance for all members.

Our bargaining schedule is as follows:

January 31-February 2
February 14-16
March 7-9
April 4-6
May 16-18
June 20-22
